We are a married couple who have random talents. I have a Conputer Science major but I spin wool, sew just about anything, knit, crochet, crank out socks, etc. My husband, the engineer, turns wooden bottle stoppers and generally helps me out with everything. Since he's that kind of guy, he joins me for most of my historical spinning demos and helps the association out whenever and wherever he can.

My sewing room is our renovated sun porch. It was an addition from the 1970s and had old aluminum jalosy windows that leaked and the room was essentially unusable. The three walls were taken down and all the windows thrown out. The walls were rebuilt and the windows replaced. Drywall went up, trim added and I painted the walls. Then a pretty laminate flooring went down. Now I have a great room that's easy to clean, a door that I can close to hide from the children, and it's got great views of the local golf course and our backyard. Of course, the red Japanese maple in the fall is GORGEOUS, too!
